Virginia Department of Education

The Commonwealth of Virginia publishes an annual report card on all Commonwealth schools. Here is a link to that information: http://www.pen.k12.va.us/VDOE/src/index.shtml.  The site includes comparative data about all of the schools, and links to more information for parents and community members.

Not everyone agrees with how our schools operate.   Ron believes we obtain the best results when we study all viewpoints, then make decisions.  Ron will post links to other views here, if you submit them.

One group with an alternative point of view about education supports more parental choice in public education.  Check out this site for more information http://www.uscharterschools.org.  Some people think Charter Schools help provide good choices, while other people think they take resources from the other public schools.  What do you think?

Another organization with some strong views about how to improve our schools is the National School Boards Association at www.nsba.org.
